Paula Kane

I take as the basis for my work the objects of everyday life. It is these objects that create our enviroment, wich is an increasingly material environment, where once we were apparently surrounded by people, we now find ourselves surrounded by things. I could even go as far as to say that what was once invested into subject - object relations. It is not my intention to cast judgement on such an exchange, this I embrace as I believe that it is only through knowing our material environment that we come to understand ourselves.
