Overview

The Fundamentals of Psychosynthesis is a comprehensive four day introduction to psychosynthesis for those wishing to deepen their experience and understanding of their own journey. It is a pre-requisite for the Foundation Year.

The Foundation Year is a year long course in psychosynthesis psychology. It is a pre-requisite for further training in psychosynthesis or as it stands alone it can be taken independently as a unique opportunity for individuals to further their exploration of the processes of self-awakening and self-expression.

Fundamentals of Psychosynthesis

This course is designed as an introduction to the fundamental methodology and models of psychosynthesis, serving particularly those individuals who are attempting to integrate their personal and spiritual experiences. The course creates the context for individuals to experience and deepen their inner journey, to direct their lives more effectively and provides insights into the transformation of obstacles into opportunities.

As part of the course each person will have the opportunity to meet individually with a psychosynthesis psychotherapist so that they can explore in depth their own process. There will also be an opportunity to observe other individual sessions in order to understand the methodology of psychosynthesis. This will be of particular value to professionals interested in applying psychosynthesis to their own fields.

As well as being a comprehensive introduction to psychosynthesis, this course is a pre-requisite to the foundation year and professional training at the Institute.

The Foundation Year

The Foundation Year is a one year programme in psychosynthesis psychology which involves a commitment to the process of self-awakening and self-expression. It is designed to help the individual understand the psychodynamics of their personal life and integrate these with their higher functions and aspirations. It is an opportunity for the individual to discover or reconnect to their own inner sense of meaning and purpose and to develop the means to realise this. Students will focus on the basic models of psychosynthesis and also undertake their own psychotherapy. On entry into the Foundation Year, students are assigned a training therapist for this purpose.

Format

Foundation Year students join the professional training community and follow the same weekend course structures thus enabling them to participate in the wider contexts of the Institute's activities:
Orientation Day on last Saturday in September
Training Weekends (x9) October to June (Friday mornings to Sunday afternoons)
Summer School (Sunday to Saturday) early July
Right Relations Groupwork Intensives (3 x 2 days)
Study Groups (8 x 2 hours)
